Hoisting winches

Hoisting winches are drive machines for vertical and inclined shaft hoisting systems with a travel speed of up to 4 m/s. They are mainly used in less intensively operated hoisting systems or as reserve or service units.

Hoisting winches are usually designed as drum machines. The drums are constructed to accommodate the hoisting rope in one or several layers, depending on the requirements. Compared to hoisting machines, the lower travel speed allows for a simpler design – while maintaining full safety.
